It can make you stronger and help you move and feel better.

Do I need a doctor’s referral / prescription for physiotherapy?

Not compulsory, but yes, it depends on the type of insurance you have and weather it provides you a direct access of physiotherapy or not, if not, then you need a referral from a doctor for physiotherapy. However, you can book your physiotherapy appointment directly on cash and can prevent the delaying of your treatment.

How long will it take for me to feel better?

Depending on your diagnosis and the severity of your impairments, you may require just one visit or you may need months of care. At RHG-home care, we also focus on patient education as well, we explain the conditions in a layman language to the patients so that he/she can understand the condition and following to that we advise them with home exercise program and do’s and don’ts to follow, which helps us to work as a team and also cooperates in proper rehabilitation. We pride ourselves on this unique collaborative relationship that has received positive feedback from our patients.

Will it hurt?

Generally, physiotherapy does not hurt although initially the stretches and exercises may cause slight discomfort that is also referred as counter-productive pain; this is primarily due to the fact that the body is not used to such movement; as the body adjust and adapts it will be less painful. It is therefore important that you communicate the intensity, frequency, and duration of pain to your therapist so that he/she can adjust your treatment plan if required.

How long does each session last?

Physiotherapist visit time is based on what you book. As for physiotherapy, Your first visit will be approximately 1 hour, whereas follow up visits will depend on your injury and type of treatment you require. For follow-up treatments, you can expect the session to be 45-60 minutes.

What can I expect at my first appointment?

During the first consultation, your physiotherapist will assess your condition by understanding your health history and conducting an evaluation of your posture, muscle and joint motion and performance. After which, your physiotherapist will provide a clinical Rehab diagnosis, prognosis, plan of care and discuss short and long-term goals.
